Digi Choosday.-Presents and Gifts

Christmas is just around the corner and everybody star looking for their Christmas presents.

I must say, I love handmade presents, so this week Digi Choosday challenge is a great excuse to make a little handmade detail.

This week challenge theme is presents and gifts.

For my project, I made an apron gift box.

 Some homemade baking goodies inside for the perfect gift.

To make this project, I used the lovely girl chef from the brand new 

Work & Play Collection 7

All the pattern papers I used, as well as this cute reindeer and the bell, are from Work and Play Collection 5.-Festive Hollybobs

Challenge #23.-Quirky Mythical Ladies.-Reminder

Este reto de Quirky Crafts es todo sobre esas damas mitológicas: hadas, guerreras, angeles, diosas, ninfas, musas, etc...

Para este recordatorio, estoy trabajando con el sello digital ARIANNA, provisto por nuestro patrocinador Stitchy Bear.

Para hacer mi trabajo, me puse a investigar un poquito sobre la figura de Arianna o Ariadna en la mitología griega y me encontré con una historia triste:

De acuerdo con el mito griego, Ariadna era la hija de Minos, el rey de Creta.

Ella se enamoró del héroe ateniense Teseo, que vino a Creta a matar al Minotauro y a rescatar a los jovenes atenienses que habían sido llevados para ser sacrificados.

Ariadna ayudó a Teseo, con la promesa de la llevaría a Atenas, como su esposa.

Ella le dió dos regalos especiales: una espada para matar al Minotauro y un hilo mágico, que le mostraría el camino para lograr salir del Laberinto-.

Según lo prometido, ella sale de Creta con Teseo y con los jovenes atenienses y se detuvieron en la isla de Naxos.

Ahí, mientras Ariadna dormia, Teseo la dejó abandonada.

Christmas Magnets for my fridge

Last week, ScrappyDew released a couple of new cutting files I loved 

and they were just perfect to decor my fridge this Christmas, so I made magnets with them.

Aren´t they lovely????

This is how they look on my fridge :o)

After all the paperpiece work, I covered it with a coat of Modge Podge to protected them, due they are shown on my kitchen.

This week the challenge is "CAS" -clean and simple cards-.

"CAS" cards has a lot of undecorated space, this space allows the viewer´s eye to rest and focus on the focal point of the card without competion -taken from "What is clean and simple"-

Challenge #23 Quirky Mythical Ladies.

Hola, bienvenidos a un nuevo reto de Quirky Crafts Challenges.

Este nuevo reto es todo sobre las damas mitológicas: diosas, guerreras, ninfas, musas, hadas, angeles, etc, etc, etc.  

El único requisito del reto es que el proyecto incluya una dama mitológica.

Para mi proyecto, yo elegí a las musas.

Según la Mitología Griega, las musas son las diosas que inspiradoras de la música, la poesía, las artes y las ciencias.

Para realizar este proyecto utilicé la técnica de impresión del sello digital sobre papel seda blanco, luego lo coloree con marcadores Spectrum Noir y una vez coloreado, lo apliqué sobre la vela con la pistola de color.

El bellísimo sello digital es "Muse 5" de Ike´s Art, provisto por nuestro generoso patrocinador Stitchy Bear Stamps.
